How to Make 2017 Your Year!

If you want 2017 to be the year you achieve your physique and/or athletic goals, then you need to keep one thing in mind:

If you make things too complicated, you won’t GSD (get $hit done), and you’ll get frustrated, burnt out and ultimately quit.

Yes, you need to make educated decisions and follow a well thought out plan, but don’t get bogged down by details and let the trivial slow you down…

You have a choice:

You can choose to be overwhelmed by an unrealistic to-do list OR you can focus on a few things and do them really well.

At the end of the day, consistently doing a few simple things well leads to MASSIVE results over time.

At the Strong Athlete Human Performance Centre, we teach our athletes to start with the following:

  1. Have a positive mindset
  2. Train hard
  3. Eat whole, unprocessed foods and hydrate with water
  4. Surround yourself with positive people

99% of the time, following a few simple rules does more to help you achieve a goal or goals than a complicated, overly detailed plan. To stay on track with these simple rules, ask yourself these questions at the end of each day:

  • Did I show gratitude for the amazing people in my life?
  • Did I give 100% effort to my training?
  • Did I eat an abundance of whole, unprocessed foods, focusing on veggies, lean protein, complex carbs and healthy fats?
  • Am I in a positive, supportive environment with people I believe in and that believe in me?

If you lose focus and become distracted and/or overwhelmed, you can’t accomplish anything of significance. And ultimately, we want you to become the best version of you.
