Fierce French Toast
Ingredients (2 servings, makes 4 slices French toast)
½ cup Almond milk
60 grams (2 scoops) vanilla New Zealand whey protein
1 egg + 6 egg whites
4 slices multi-grain bread
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1.Using a shallow dish, combine almond milk, New Zealand whey protein and eggs and beat with a fork until smooth. Sprinkle in cinnamon
2.Melt a tbsp. of virgin, unrefined coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3.Dip one slice of bread into batter and soak on both sides. Repeat with a second slice of bread. Place both slices of bread in the skillet and cook on both sides for 2-3 minutes (should look golden brown). Set French toast aside and repeat with remaining bread slices. Pour unsweetened apple sauce or organic maple syrup over French toast and serve.
