Olympian Shane Perkins

 Ever wonder what it takes to develop an elite athlete? The following episode of the Hungry Beast profiles Australian sprint cyclist Shane Perkins, an Olympic athlete, World Champion and one of the fastest sprint cyclists on Earth. Shane has reached speeds approaching 80 km/h on his bike. He is able to generate as much as 2500 watts of max power, which is enough to power 12 flat screen TV’s! Shane’s training, nutrition and supplementation regimen is extremely precise. He consumes over 5000 calories a day to to recover from his brutal training sessions and enhance overall performance.
