Coach PK demonstrates intervals on the Air Dyne bike, one of the most brutal and effective machines for conditioning. We use this tool to condition all kind of athletes, from pro fighters to physique competitors to elite hockey players.

Single-Leg Press

Coach G demonstrates the proper technique for performing the single leg press. This is a great exercise for targeting the quads and glutes. We frequently program unilateral or single limb exercises to correct strength imbalances.

Hip Flexor Stretch

Coach G demonstrates a great exercise for stretching the hip flexors and quads. Consistent practice on this stretch will alleviate tight hip flexors, prevent back pain and improve your mobility, especially with foundation movements like the squat.    

Band Pull Aparts

NEW Anderson Silva Nike Commercial

UFC Middleweight champ and pound-for-pound king Anderson Silva was recently showcased in a new kick-ass Nike commercial. The new ad is part of Nike’s “Find Your Greatness” campaign and was shot in Silva’s home country Brazil. The ad is significant for mixed martial arts on several levels. For years, Nike remained on the sidelines of MMA, observing the growth of the sport and waiting for the right time to get involved. Presumably they thought the sport was too violent, too barbaric and may have even questioned the long-term viability of the sport. Now it’s clear that times have changed. Official Generation IRON Movie Trailer

Bodybuilding fans and fitness enthusiasts of all levels will be pleased to hear that 2013 will be the debut of  Generation Iron, a feature length documentary about modern day professional bodybuilding. This film is essentially a follow up to the cult classic Pumping Iron, which introduced the world to future bodybuilding icon, action movie star and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It features seven of the world’s best bodybuilders, including the current Mr. Olympia and several contenders such as Kai “The Predator” Greene and Dennis Wolf. You can be sure that the Strong Athlete family will be at the premiere of this one. Check out the trailer below:

MUST SEE: Insane 550 lb Front Squat

We recently came across this absolutely insane feat of strength the other day. It features Dimitry Klovov, a former world champion weightlifter from Russia, who redefines strong with this 550 lb front squat with a 5 second pause in the bottom position. After taking silver at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Klokov was noticeably absent from the Olympic Games in London this past summer. He was forced to withdraw due to medical reasons. Hopefully he decides to take one last crack at gold in 2016 in Rio. For now, check out the video below and see what superhuman strength looks like:

On November 17th, UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre will step back into the Octagon to face one of the toughest tests of his stellar career when he takes on Carlos Condit. Georges has not seen action in more than a year since he suffered a devastating knee injury while training. In the following video, George takes us through his gruelling rehab regimen. GSP is back and believes he is better than he has ever been. On November 17th, he’ll get a chance to prove himself yet again and further cement his legacy as one of the all-time greats.
